Mesothelioma Caused
Mesothelioma is under intense investigation for several decades and new cases of mesothelioma patients are in a high place. As explained in the previous article that the main cause of mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos. It is but 90% of cases the primary cause, if exposure to asbestos. But other causes are rare and are still a risk for mesothelioma patients are highlighted here. But fortunately, they remain unproven and insignificant.
The genetic mutation Cell
The genetic causes of mesothelioma can be associated with genetic mutations. These mutations turn healthy cells into cancer cells that multiply at random and at a rapid pace. These cancer cells do not die as normal cells usually do. Thus the accumulation of these cells form a tumor. These tumors, in turn invade body tissues and therefore more extended in the body and leads to mesothelioma.
In this sense, one can not say much because no one knows what causes the genetic mutation that leads to mesothelioma. Yet an interaction between various risk factors appears to be the reason.
These factors include inherited conditions, the environment where one lives, the health conditions in general and smoking and other lifestyle choices.
Mutation initiated by exposure to asbestos
Chances are high that a genetic mutation caused by asbestos. Asbestos fibers appear to cause initiation of mutations in the genes of the person who comes into contact with the asbestos fibers. This occurs when asbestos fibers present in the lung or mesothelium mesothelium of other organs in which it has access.
Such mutations may be the cause that leads to mesothelioma, while patients with mesothelioma be aware of the situation in question.
Other causes of mesothelioma
The researchers carried out some studies in animals regarding the cause of mesothelioma. There they found the monkey virus SV40 type that is associated with the cause of mesothelioma. Also some early polio vaccines in the 1950s were found to be contaminated with the SV40. But it was not shown to cause mesothelioma and no link was established that regard.
